for whom
For military personnel, veterans, and civilians with complete or partial vision loss
program goal
Restoration of the natural appearance of the face after the loss of one or both eyes to maintain confidence and psychological comfort.

program stages
Consultation, examination, and installation of a temporary eye prosthesis
During the first meeting, the patient undergoes a consultation during which the oculist conducts a thorough examination of the eye and surrounding tissues. The purpose of this examination is to assess the condition of the orbital cavity (if the eyeball has been removed), as well as to understand whether the eye environment is ready for the installation of the prosthesis. During the first stage, the patient is fitted with a temporary prosthesis made of cryolite glass.
This temporary prosthesis is designed to help the patient adapt to new sensations and performs an important function in preparing the tissues for the installation of a permanent prosthesis. The oculist monitors the body's reaction to the prosthesis, as well as its correct position and comfort for the patient. Adjustments to the size or shape of the prosthesis may be made if necessary.
Installation of an individual eye prosthesis
After successful adaptation to the temporary prosthesis, the oculist conducts a second appointment during which an individually made permanent eye prosthesis is installed. It matches the shape and color of the eye as closely as possible, imitating a natural appearance.
After installation, the oculist makes final adjustments and provides instructions on the care of the prosthesis and its replacement in the future.
